Exciting News!!

We have known since September that something was going to change in the baseball department of our lives, we just weren't sure what. The last few weeks we have been working out the offer and details of where we will be playing next season.

We are moving to JAPAN! We will be there from February until the season ends in October. It is so exciting and a little bit scary at the same time. Knowing we are venturing overseas together will make this move seem a little less intimidating. Again I realize the importance of blogging and will for sure be documenting this new chapter in our lives.  We are so thankful for this exciting opportunity and for having both of our families support making this huge decision.

  1. JAPAN! WOW! Congratulations! That is very exciting news and sounds like it will be an awesome and wonderful adventure! :)

  2. i am still digesting this!! Lauren, I can't believe it! What an AMAZING opportunity. I have always, always said I would love to go on an adventure like that - getting paid, being with your bff in somewhere completely different? Oh i hope you soak it all up. I know you will and I will follow you along every step of the way!

Also - Amanda Marshall lives in Japan with her husband as well. If you don't already know, her blog is: http://www.marshallsabroad.com/

They live in Okinawa. I googled the distance between the both - think it was 4.5 hours by train or plane? but still, if you ever had any questions I am sure she could help!

  3. omg this is sooo exciting! Lauren! This will be such a fun experience for you guys and it is nice to know you know when you are coming home! What area will you be in?? I have a friend who lives in Oki (she is ADORBS and her hubby is in the armed forces). I can't wait to follow along the journey!

  4. How exciting! You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers - I've had friends live in Japan and they loved it!

  5. Oh my gosh!! Congratulations Lauren...that is so exciting!! Can't wait to read all about your new chapter in Japan.
